Instead of "Balloons Over Broadway" it was "Balloons over Mineral Point" Tuesday! 3rd graders read the book by Melissa Sweet and were inspired to have their own parade, just like Macy's!

A big thanks to all our volunteers who helped make the recent elementary Book Fair so successful!

The new video board is up and looking great in the gym! Thank you to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket this fall to help make this project a reality -- we are looking forward to the added excitement this will bring to our events!

The Cornwall Student Exchange is having its annual Racine Kringle sale to support its trip next year! Kringles are $11 each with great flavors to choose from. Substitutes go above and beyond to help ensure continuity of learning for our students. We'd love for you to join our sub pool! CESA 3 in Fennimore is having a substitute training session December 6. At Tuesday's home Boys Basketball game vs. Dodgeville, the MPHS Student Council will be helping collect donations for the Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association's #WadaWishWeek! Funds will be raised for the Make-A-Wish Wisconsin foundation and ALL of the proceeds raised in Wisconsin are going to STAY in Wisconsin. Mineral Point FBLA is sponsoring the Holiday Giving Tree to share holiday blessings with area families.

Here’s how you can help:

Donated gift items will be delivered to Southwest Wisconsin Community Action Program office in Dodgeville which serves communities in southwestern Wisconsin. Please help area children and share in the joy of the holiday season! Thank you for your generosity!

The Mineral Point Excellence in Education Endowment Fund will be hosting a Snack Drive at our Winter Concerts!

Why a Snack Drive? Our students get hungry between breakfast and lunch. Many have the resources to bring their own snacks. However, for others this is a challenge. Having additional snacks on hand helps to support our students with meeting their basic needs so they are more available for learning throughout the day.

Not sure what to donate? Some great snack choices include:

• Individually packed non-perishable items such as:

• Granola bars

• Applesauce pouches

• Crackers (plain, cheesy, and peanut butter sandwiches)

• Fruit snacks

• Trail mix

Please bring donations to the following events when you join us to celebrate the sounds of the season:

-- Middle/High School Concert: Monday, December 12 at 7 pm

-- Elementary Concert: Wednesday, December 21 at 12:30 pm

Both concerts will be held in the middle/high school gym.

If you are unable to attend these events, but would like to help, snacks can be dropped off with attention to:
