Good Luck Coal Ridge Boys Soccer Team, in the State Tournament!
It's the 12th Annual 5k Turkey Trot Run/Jog/Walk!
Join the Rifle High School Track and Field team in celebrating the 12th Annual Rifle High School Turkey Trot! Come and join local families and others from around the country for fun where you can run, walk, or jog your way around the course. Support the Rifle High School Track and Field Team by running a 5k before you partake in all of the wonderful Thanksgiving Day Goodies.
We're hosting this FUNraiser in hopes of raising enough money to help buy new track equipment, including, a safety discus cage.
Event details and schedule -
When:
Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, November 23th, 2023. Registration and check-in will start at 8 am with the Little Gobbler run Starting around 8:50 am and the Big Gobblers start time at 9:15 am.
Where:
Deer Field Park, 300 E 30th St, Rifle, CO 81650
Registration:
Early registration through the active.com link (Shirt size guaranteed)
$25 for individuals or $70 per family.
Large Families/Groups of up to 6 - 8 is $120 Early Registration (Shirt size guaranteed)
On and after 11/12/2022 prices increase to $30 for individuals, $100 for families, and for large families/groups $160 (Shirt Sizes are not guaranteed!)

Show our teachers and staff some love. Last year, some of our parents were vocal at school board meetings and District Accountability meetings asking to Respect Everybody Twice and honor our teachers and staff. The phrase Respect Everyone Twice has been converted into Re-2 - Respect Everyone 2wice.

Grand Canyon University January 2024 Garfield Re-2 Online Cohort!
Did you know Garfield Re-2 School District and GCU are partners? We have partnered to bring you opportunities such as tuition scholarships for Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral programs, professional development, and PRAXIS prep.
Coming up in January is great opportunity for anyone who is interested in advancing their education. GCU is coordinating to give certified and classified staff, and their spouses, the opportunity to start their degrees together in an online community cohort. If at least 10 people start their program in January, everyone will receive a 25% tuition scholarship for their entire Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral program. A cohort is a great opportunity for employees who want to continue their education, keep current in their profession, and set themselves up for internal growth and advancement.

Wamsley Elementary first graders helped the American Legion place flags at the Veterans Memorial in Rifle in honor of Veterans Day.
Thank you to the American Legion for sharing the history of the flag and the significance of Veterans Day with our students!
KSE celebrated our Veterans with a raising of the flag ceremony!
The Coal Ridge High School Choir preformed for our Veterans and provided coffee, breakfast treats, and good conversations!
Elk Creek Elementary held an assembly where the choir preformed and a Navy Veteran gave a speech about what it means to be a hero.
Rifle High School held an assembly honoring the Veterans in their community and provided coffee and brunch afterwards!

the Winter Colorado Association of School Executives Principal Conference

Free Youth Mental Health Program
The program is open to youth 18 years of age or younger, or 21 years of age or younger if receiving special education services. It provides up to 3 free behavioral health sessions for youth in Colorado and reimburses participating providers, which are licensed clinicians from agencies and independent contractors.
