It's great to see you back and we hope you had a super Easter break. For some of you though, it is the last few months at your current school, so it will be heads down to give it your best effort and achieve the grades you need to move on and secure the place, and courses, where you want to study.

Strode College receives Multi-million £ funding to develop the best facilities in the South West

It is fabulous news that Strode College has been chosen as one of 16 colleges to benefit from the Government's FE Capital Transformation Fund.

Take a look at this exciting project that will ensure all students are taught in high quality, modern, industry standard facilities integrating sustainable and carbon reducing technologies. There's super news for the community too!

All about ......... Creative Practice: Art, Design & Communication

Our Level 3 vocational course explores all aspects of the creative industries including Fine Art, Graphic Design, Textiles and Art History.

Strode Student Awards 2021 - Can you spot past pupils from your school?

Due to the pandemic, we have been unable to hold our usual annual awards ceremony, but we have still celebrated the incredible hard work and achievements of all our students.

Massive congratulations go to all our award winners, finalists, and commended students. They’re all winners in our eyes and should be incredibly proud of their achievements.

Year 11 diary date ~ Pre-Induction Day event on Wednesday 23rd June 2021

If you’re a school leaver and have applied to Strode, save the date for your Pre-Induction Day visit.

FE College or Sixth Form? Book a Campus Tour to come and see us!

Choosing the place to study is just as important as the course selections you make.

Whilst some schools offer a progression to sixth form, and this appears to be the obvious option to take, some students are ready to spread their wings and try something different.

This next move is all about YOU, so once you have researched the courses you want to do, you can then consider other factors and benefits too.

FE college provides a great stepping stone if you are looking to go to university. Moving straight from a school environment to university can often be daunting for students.
FE colleges create more independence for individuals but you do need to have the maturity and self-discipline to keep on track with your study and manage your own time and deadlines.
FE colleges are usually larger than sixth form so may offer a greater selection of courses.
Whilst you will retain your current school friends, you will build new friendships from FE College courses and fun enrichment activities and/or sport.
