As many families have experienced, much like the rest of the Nation and the State, we have many students and staff who have been ill with one virus or another. We are slowly making our way back to normal, but the number of students and staff who are absent on a given day is higher than it normally is at this time of year.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at tonight's concert. They sounded great at today's rehearsal. I know the students are excited about the program, and eager to showcase their talents. Ms. Reed and Ms. Michaud have been busy setting up the gym and running through last-minute preparations. I hope that you will be able to join us for this festive event.

Ms. Reed, Ms. Michaud, and PES kindergarten through fifth-grade students have been working extremely hard preparing for tonight's concert. They can't wait to showcase their talents!

Here are a few important reminders:

*Students should "Dress to Impress," no specific attire is required.

*Students should go to their classrooms no earlier than 5:45, the concert begins at 6:00 PM.

If you would like to arrive early, we ask that children remain with their families until 5:45 as there will not be school staff available to monitor students before that time.

*Students will be dismissed to parents directly from the gym.

We look forward to seeing you all at the concert tonight!

Just a quick note about attendance on report cards: early dismissals are counted as tardies, as both are time out of school, but less than a half or whole day.

The next 8-week Mad Science before school program begins January 11, 2023. If your child is interested in participating in Mad Science's Mad Lab Medley program, please register online at maine.madscience.org by January 6th. We need a minimum of 10 students to hold the program at PES (parents provide transportation to school on these Wednesdays). Scholarships are available; if interested, please contact Mrs. Doran at 389-1514 by January 6th. FLYER is attached.
