Grand Rapids Symphony Performance
Members of the HS Band, Orchestra, and Choir, along with 8th grade Band and Orchestra members, were able to attend the Grand Rapids Symphony performance last week. The venue at St. Cecelia Music Center in Grand Rapids is so amazing, and the musicians are the best! The show was incredible, and students had a chance to watch a flute and harp concerto (solo with orchestra) along with a string orchestra piece (that is almost 25 minutes long on it’s own). The experience provided a glimpse into the life of a professional musician, and some possibilities outside of HS. Members are already talking about another trip, and hope to travel to GR soon to experience more great musical memories.

Teamwork
Over the past month, Dorr's level 2 social skills class and PEERs have been given random shapes and designs to color. The CKH monthly theme for November is teamwork. To start off the month of November practicing that character trait, the students and PEERs worked as a team to put those shapes and designs together. The result was a beautiful and unique mural. Some of the pieces were difficult, so they called for more teammates. Thank you Mrs. Seniura for helping them solve those difficult pieces!

Congratulations to Tiannah Garcia, WUHS Regional Choir Member for this year! Tia will be auditioning for State Honors Choir December 2 at Western Michigan University and performing with the other members at the Dalton Theater. The concert will be held on December 2nd at 3pm.
