AHS ACTIVITIES

Just a reminder....if you are going to participate in your graduation ceremony, you are required to order a cap/gown/tassel package from Herff Jones by next Friday, December 10th. The price is $28.

Herff Jones will be at school during lunches next Wednesday, December 8th, to collect orders.

You can also order and pay online at highschool.herffjones.com or you may send a check to Herff Jones, payable to Herff Jones, for $28.

Congratulations go out to Freshman, Amy Qafoku! Amy came in 3rd. Place on her first Speech/Debate competition at Francis Howell North. Way to go Amy!

Come out this weekend and check out the annual Esmond Ford Wrestling Tournament. This tournament is near and dear to Coach Ford's heart as it is named after his son, Esmond, who was a a Multi- State Champion for AHS.

Come out and watch the wonderful Orchestra members as they perform "Outer Space" on December 10! They have been working hard and ready to perform!

The girls swim team had a great first meet! We had 4 swimmers complete in their first races. Holly James, Trystan Brown, Michelle Nguyen, and Sydney Hallenberg all did a great job in their first meet.

Evelyn Berger PR'd in 3 of her 4 events, including dropping 7 seconds in the 100 free.

Abagle Berger PR'd in 2 of her 3 events and placed first in the 500 free.

We are excited for our meet on Wednesday, where we'll have almost the whole team ready to compete.

The Varsity Boys Basketball opened the season with a 65-61 win over Windsor! Congraulations to Sean LaRose who received player of the game!

The Freshmen team just completed the annual AHS Freshmen Basketball Tournament. They didn't capture the championship, but they had a great showing and they are looking good for this upcoming season! GOOD LUCK COUGARS ON A GREAT SEASON!

The Winter PEP Assembly will be on Wednesday, December 8, from 9:15am - 10:00am. It will be livestreamed for the parents from our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ahsathletics

Butter Briad/Cookie Dough/Pizza pick up will be December 8, in the Commons: 6:00-8:30pm

For those participating in a fall, winter, or spring sport, there will be a $25 athletic fee added on their Tyler account. This will need to be paid through the parents' Tyler account. Students will not be allowed to participate in future sports until this fee is paid. Students that do not have all fines paid in full by graduation, will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Cyberpatriots will meet in Mrs. Koblents room on Tuesday, December 7, at 2:20.

Coach Uthoff will be holding winter workouts in the upper gym. This will take place every Thursday leading up to the Baseball season. It will give you an opportunity to get some swings in the cage and allow pitchers to throw. This is NOT mandatory. **Please note, if you are playing a winter sport, per MSHSAA you cannot participate in this winter workout.** This is optional and not mandatory.

Freedom Fighters meet every Monday after school in Mr. Jennings Room (room 302).
