Project-Based Learning Academy — May 27-29 or July 21-23

Project-based learning (PBL) is all about learning by doing, and that is exactly what you will experience in the PBL Academy. By the end of the face-to-face workshop days, you will have designed a PBL unit for your classroom. An online community and on-site coaching session will be offered to provide the support you need to implement your plan. Participants must attend each day to receive credit; partial credit will not be awarded.

PBL 2.0: Digital Tools for the PBL Classroom — June 11

Attention Project-Based Learning educators:

Whether your classroom is 1:1 or you have limited devices, leveraging technology tools during Project-Based Learning helps inform and enhance student learning, project management, and product creation. Come explore tools and strategies to make PBL a success! This session is for participants who have completed the ESC Region 11 PBL Academy.

Project-Based Learning for Administrators — June 24

Is project-based learning (PBL) happening on your campus? Beyond the high engagement, collaborative, student-centered project creation, what is really happening in those classrooms? In this session, we will unpack the structure of PBL and help administrators identify "look-fors" during each phase of a project-based learning unit. We will also explore clarifying and probing questions to use when conversing with PBL teachers and students to help ensure learning is occurring in the excitement of PBL.

PBL 2.0: High-Quality Culminating Products — July 16

Attention Project-Based Learning educators:

Are students creating high-quality culminating products during your PBL units? Come join us as we explore practical strategies for fostering a growth mindset, motivating students, and employing quality work protocols and rubrics for helping students create their best, high-quality work. Please bring physical or digital copies of at least two products from different PBL units. This session is for participants who have completed the ESC Region 11 PBL Academy.
