Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Concert last night. It was a wonderful time watching all of our students perform on stage! They did an incredible job with all their different acts. A big thank you to many incredible people who helped out,
- To all of our performers for their hard work!
- To Jayla and Wade for taking on last minute rolls in the play!
- To Abby, Christina, Jayla, Ava, Taylor, Serena, and Ryker who helped to MC or backstage during the elementary performances!
- To Mr. Stoyles and Mrs. DeLeeuw for all of the extra time and work they put into organizing and prepping for the concert!
- To NCFS and all the parent volunteers who were here after school preparing food for our students to have in their classrooms during the concert.
It is hard to believe that this is our last week of school before Christmas Break. We will continue to celebrate our 12 Days of Christmas, the poster is below. On Tuesday, December 19th, in the afternoon we will have Christmas Craft Day, students selected their top choices for a craft and will be able to create them. On Thursday, December 21st, many classes are having their parties, there is also free pizza sponsored by Jim Robinson Contracting!
On December 22, the last day before Christmas break, we are having a polar express day. Students are encouraged to wear their pajamas and in the afternoon, we will gather in the gym to watch the polar express movie. There will be hot chocolate, popcorn and candy canes available. If you would like to join us for this family event, we would love to see you there!
We are in need of concession volunteers. Anyone who is able to work in the concession during our after school basketball games, please contact the office. If we are not able to find more people to help run it, we may not be able to offer a concession.
Have a wonderful week,
Bailey Benson

Community Engagement Notice
Re: Niton Junior High Program Viability
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
On January 30, 2024, at 6:30 PM, a community engagement will take place at Niton Central School. The Board of Trustees wants to hear from you about the viability of our junior high program continuing at NCS in future years. Initially, this meeting was scheduled for May but was postponed due to the wildfire evacuations.
This meeting will address concerns about our student enrolment numbers in junior high and the impact low community support has on the junior high program. I strongly encourage all parents and community members to attend the meeting. We need to hear from as many voices in the community as possible to ensure that all different opinions are being heard.
Please plan to attend the event, and consider the questions or comments you want the Board of Trustees to hear as we look to the future of the junior high program at Niton Central School.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me.
I will continue to send out information and reminders of the meeting.
Thank you,
Bailey Benson

A Classic Christmas Concert!
We had our Christmas Concert this week. Each class in the school had in incredible performance!
Reading For All!
The K/1 class played Spin the Dreidel while learning about different holiday celebrations around the world! Students also used their understanding of numbers to split the pot while playing.
Candy Cane Day!
The 2/3 class have celebrated different thematic days throughout the past week. One day was Candy Cane Day where all of the lessons were centered around candy canes. They even went around the school to different vehicles and delivered candy canes with special notes on them!
