News and Notes from the VPSS Central Office
From the desk of the Superintendent Tommy Byler
As we close in on the month of March, we are all buckling up and getting ready for the final three month push. The final third of the year is always one that managing time and staying on top of your work is the most important for all of our students.
Activities will begin filling up all of our calendars with either testing, final projects, athletic events and all of the end of year banquets and programs which culminate in graduation for our Class of 2024.
My advice to all, plan ahead, stay ahead of your school work and enjoy the final stretch. Seniors and parents of seniors, take it all in because it will be here before you know it.
Not a whole lot of district wide events or notes this week so this newsletter is just a reminder that the end is coming quick.
Have a great week.
Your Partner in Education,
Superintendent Tommy Byler
2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration Set
On the picture below, you will find all of the information you need regarding Kindergarten registration for the 2024-2025 school year. The following information is for all those with school age children as Kindergarten is now mandatory in the state of Louisiana.
- If your child is enrolled in a Vermilion PreK class and will be attending the same school for Kindergarten because that is your home zone, you DO NOT need to register. Your information will roll over to the school.
- If you are enrolled in a Vermilion PreK that is in a different zone than where you reside, you will need to go to your zoned school and register.
- If your child is not in a Vermilion PreK, they will need to go to the school and register on the dates below.
