It's been a wonderful year thus far at Opequon Elementary School. To ensure we are providing positive learning environments and limitless opportunities for our students, we are participating in the West Virginia School Learning Environment Survey for parents/caregivers, students, and staff. These surveys are conducted online and provide critical information about the learning/teaching environment, the health and well-being of students and staff, and support for parents. We'd appreciate your feedback as to how Opequon Elementary has met the needs of your student(s) and family! Surveys are due by March 7! Please contact us with any questions.

Read Across America Events!
March 3 - 7 is National Read Across America Week. This week is typically centered around celebrating Dr. Seuss since his birthday is March 2nd, but more importantly this week is to promote the joy of reading and encourage literacy among all ages. We have several opportunities for students and families to celebrate the joy of reading throughout the week!
Design a New Cover for Your Favorite Dr. Seuss book!
Your child should pick their favorite Dr. Seuss book from the titles below and recreate the book cover! Book covers should be returned by March 7th and will be displayed in the front lobby as a graph of “Opequon's Favorite Dr. Seuss Books." Detailed information was sent home last week.
