Happy Mothers Day from Mountainburg Elementary!

MHS Seniors Receive Their National Career Readiness Certification

This was the first year for MHS to introduce the ACT WorkKeys curriculum to help students prepare for the National Career Readiness Certification Tests. Of 44 seniors, 33 received their NCRC!!

Next year, this curriculum and certification opportunity will be part of a new senior-level course, College and Career Readiness, to be taught by Mrs. Christian.

Every May, high school seniors across the country are looking forward to their next journey in life. Donning that cap and gown and receiving a diploma is one of life’s biggest milestones. Let’s celebrate the Class of 2022 and recognize their accomplishments!

Submit a photo of your senior and tell us about your unique senior year and what you would do with a $500 Visa gift card if you were to win and you may be featured on 5NEWS! 2 winners will be selected. Photos will be reviewed, winners will be determined internally by 5NEWS staff and the winners will be contacted on 5/31/22.

The Reimagine Arkansas Workforce Project can help you enter or thrive in the workplace by providing free, short-term, job training online. You choose the type of training you need from 15 career fields offered through the University of Arkansas. A grant from the U.S. Department of Education covers the training costs for those who qualify.

While training is a significant investment of your time, upgrading your skills and knowledge provides a pathway to higher income and job stability.
