We have implemented multiple layers of protection in our school and district facilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Watch our new video to learn more about steps the district has already taken to promote optimal ventilation at our school and district facilities, including upgrading air filters to the highest efficiency possible, MERV 13, and providing Portable High Efficiency Air (HEPA) filters in classrooms.

Glendale Unified School District is committed to meeting every child's academic and social emotional needs while protecting the health and safety of our students, employees, families, and community. On Wednesday, March 3, school and district leaders met with members of the Glendale Teachers Association (GTA) bargaining team to discuss a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the careful and deliberate return of elementary students, based on current Public Health guidelines. At the March 3 meeting, GTA presented a counter-proposal to the District’s initial MOU from February 19. The District prepared and provided an immediate response.

Weekly Parent/Guardian and Caregiver Support Groups

Our Glendale Unified Student Wellness Services Department is offering weekly support groups for families. This free service is facilitated by a therapist and an intern from the Glendale Unified Student Wellness Services Department.


Our support groups are a safe space to have discussions and get your questions answered.
