Freshmen Football Results
Last week the freshman football teams traveled to Richland to take on the Rebels in a battle of two well skilled schools. The games saw both teams fighting hard to win with both games being close most of the way. The night started when the Freshman White team took the field and started early by going 72 yards by to score the first score of the game after giving a score the Roos went down and scored again to take a lead. Tied at halftime the Roos made some adjustments and came out on fire and ended up blowing by the Rebels by a score of 36-20. This was the final game for the white team as they finished the season with a record of 7-1. These young men fought hard all season and we are so proud of the way they have grown and come together.
The second game featured the Blue Team, and it was an extremely intense and passionate game that came down to the wire. The Roos started slow and trailed after the first couple of possessions but after settling down we went I to the half tied and ready to strike. Starting slow again in the second found the Roos down by two scores and time ticking away. Battling back and scoring on the last three possessions and stopping them on 2 4th and shorts had the Roos finding themselves a minute away from winning what seemed to be an unbelievable team effort come back. The defense held on 4th and goal from the 8 and the Roos finished the game with an awesome 36-33 game. This puts your Roos Blue team at 6-2-1 and looking to finish off the season next week here at home against the LD Bell Raiders. This is an awesome group that fights every game please come out and support your Roos next Thursday as we finish the season strong.
If you see these young men please tell them how proud we are of them and congratulations.
