The time has officially come! We cannot wait to have your children back at school and are excited for a great year. The halls are just too quiet! This week, the staff will be ready to help all students transition to the new year. The first few days are always filled with a lot of different emotions, and we are ready for them all.

Please read the arrival and dismissal procedures carefully https://www.smore.com/pjrwa. We have systems in place to make them run efficiently as possible while keeping student safety at the forefront. Any student who is being picked up or dropped off by car MUST use the car loop. The side door is only for walkers. We ask that you listen carefully to the staff on duty and follow their directions. It will help the process move along!

This week, you will receive paperwork that will need to be filled out. We joke with the students that it is your homework, so please be sure to do your homework! Please note, if you check off that your child cannot be published - that includes the yearbook. This is a change. We can no longer reach out and ask if yearbook is OK.

As always, if you have ANY questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here for you, and your children are in GREAT hands! Let’s make the 2023-2024 school year the best yet!

Our PTO is hosting a back to school bash for all Studley students and their families. The event will be on Friday, August 28th (3:00PM-5:00PM) on the playground. It is a great opportunity to see friends before the first day! We hope to see you there.

Returning students should bring their student ID with them on Tuesday. They will need them for breakfast, lunch, and library. If you cannot find it, we can print them one for use.

2023-2024 Student Dismissal Plan

Changes to your child’s dismissal plan MUST be communicated to the school. If you know ahead of time, you can communicate with your child’s teacher and they will let the office know. If it is the same day, please call the office. We can not guarantee the teacher will see the communication, since they will be teaching.

We understand that situations come up that are out of your control, but we ask that you do your best to notify the office no later than 2:00PM on the same day. This allows enough time to notify the classroom teacher and child that there is a change in plans. As a rule, we try not to dismiss students after 3:00 as it interferes with dismissal.

Kindergarten students and their guardians are invited to their classrooms on September 5th. This is an opportunity for students to meet their teachers, see their classrooms and get a feel for the school before the big day! Adults stay with their children for this. This is not a drop off activity.

There are two sessions:

• 9:00AM - Students who have a last name A-L
• 10:00AM - Students who have a last name M-Z

Parking:

Please do not arrive before 8:45AM. Our car drop off procedure will not end for our other students until 8:45AM. Once this ends, you can park in the spots in the circle. Parking is also available on the street.

Meeting:

Staff will meet you on the sidewalk by the circle loop.

We are so lucky to have such a wonderful parent group that supports this school. They work tirelessly to build community, support the staff, and enrich the overall school experience for our students. Please consider coming to our PTO meetings, which will be held one Wednesday a month at 6:00PM in the Studley library. At these meetings, you will learn more about the group and how to become involved! More information to follow, but we need you and your voice to make us better.
