Principal's Corner
Hello Renberg Parents and Guardians!
March definitely kept us on our toes with some wild weather! We're all hoping that April brings us some much-needed sunshine and warmer days.
We are so proud of our Renberg students and their amazing efforts during the Kids Heart Challenge! As a school, we raised just over $3,000 for the American Heart Association. What an incredible accomplishment! Since our students did such an outstanding job, I’ll be keeping my promise and will wear the Kids Heart Challenge duck costume for a whole day on April 1st. Get ready to see me waddling around the school!
April is a busy month for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students as they will be taking the South Dakota State Assessment in ELA (English Language Arts) and Math. In addition, our 5th grade students will also complete the State Science Assessment. Our teachers and students have been working so hard to master the skills needed to succeed. You can help by making sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and eats a healthy breakfast so they are ready to do their best!
This month, we will also continue focusing on the second "R" in ROAR — Responsibility. We’ll be learning about social skills connected to responsibility (see the graphic below) and discussing ways students can show responsibility at home, school, and in the community.
Thank you for your continued support. I hope you and your family have a wonderful month of April!
Sincerely,
Patti Pannell, Principal
