East Irondequoit CSD Lancer Pride

The East Irondequoit Board of Education
Nine Individuals Motivated by Their Love of Education and the Lancer Community
November's digital Lancer Pride newsletter is a glimpse into our Board of Education and the individuals who serve as its members. Board members are elected officials who serve 3-year terms and have a say in the daily operations of the district. Being an effective board member involves a time commitment and dedication to serve the school community in which they live in. The East Irondequoit Board of Education is made up of 9 members, with one member elected as the president and another as the vice president.
The district's Board of Education members have different careers and backgrounds but what unites them is their love of East Irondequoit and their genuine commitment to the success of our students and community. The district is grateful to have a Board of Education who works together for the best interest of the students, while keeping in mind the fiscal responsibility that they have to the residents of East Irondequoit. Keep reading this month's newsletter to learn all about the unique individuals who make up our Board of Education and what motivates them to make a difference for our school community.

Substituting was my first teaching experience here in EICSD. I also worked in the Laurelton-Pardee Library as a library clerk. Finally in 1996, I was offered a full-time teaching job at Laurelton-Pardee as a fourth-grade teacher. Those were the best years of my life. I finally could be what I always dreamed of.
