Juniors applying for a Career Academy next year:
DMACC has changed the process, it is now a two step process.

Once your account is created, check your email address for a DMACC email containing the link to verify your account. Click on the link in the email. Once verified, click Apply Online at the top of the page. Sign in using the username and password you created in the previous step, complete and submit the application (anything with an * is required)
2. Beginning February 1 (Wednesday) you will be emailed a link to fill out the Career Academy Pre-Registration Form.--this is the form you will use to request a specific career academy program---this will ONLY happen if your account is set up.

Speech Competition
Four groups of Johnston speech students are advancing to the state large group competition this Saturday, Feb. 4, hosted by the Iowa High School Speech Association at Waukee High School.
Contest speech gives students the opportunity to pursue their interest in public speaking or stage performance. In Large Group Speech, participants work in small or large groups to rehearse a piece, then perform it at a contest in front of judges and an audience.
The four groups advancing to state were among six from Johnston who recently participated at the District Large Group Speech contest at Johnston Middle School.
