News From The Elementary Office May 2023
A Note from the Office
It's hard to believe that April is already in the rearview mirror. As we head into the last stretch of the 22-23 school year, it seems time moves faster as days are a flurry of instruction, assessment, field trips, projects, and anticipation of summer. Evenings come alive with ball games, dance recitals, and spending time outdoors.
Thank you, families, for your work to help ensure that students are well-rested, complete their homework, and are ready to work hard each day at school.
I also want to thank the PTO for their work this year to create opportunities for our community to come together through organized events. The Basketball Bash was a huge success! Thanks to all families, students, referees, volunteers, and staff for making this a memorable night! And congratulations to the Fifth-grade students for their victory!

Counselor Corner
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Here are some simple ways we can promote positive mental health in our students. We can teach our students about Deep Breathing, Exercise, Reading, Enjoying the Outdoors, and Positive Social Interactions, and help them identify trusted adults they can talk to in times of need.
Did you know that the sun gives us Vitamin D and helps increase our Serotonin? As the weather gets nice and the sun is out longer encourage your children to get outside and enjoy what nature has to offer!
As always if you have questions please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Rhymer at 260-692-1012 or Miss Megan at 260-692-1122.
