Shout Out to 3rd Grade!

We have 33 students who have received invitations to apply for the DUKE University TIPS program. This is an all time high for Trice!!! Admission to this prestigious program is competitive, and these students received their invitations based on their 3rd grade test scores from ACT Aspire test last year. Students must achieve 95% or better in one or more areas of Reading, Math, English, or Science. These students and their teachers deserve a round of applause for their academic accomplishment.

Items requested

We need gently used or new books for our Trice or Treat event. Along with candy, we would also like to give books to every child that attends the Trice or Treat event.

If you are interested in volunteering to read a story at Trice or Treat, please see Ms. Newton or Ms. Niemeyer.

Pull Tabs for the Ronald McDonald House

Trice is joining forces this year with all the schools in TASD to collect pull tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Save the pull tabs from your aluminum cans and bring them to school. If you have any questions about the Ronald McDonald House Charity please contact Ms. Monaghan. Our H.E.A.T. team is also recycling aluminum can so once you pull the tabs off, rinse out the cans and bring them to school as well. For questions about the H.E.A.T. team please contact Ms. Newton.

coffee & conversation with the principal

All Trice parents and teachers are welcome to join the principal for coffee and conversation from 7:15-7:45 AM on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Please join us for information about what is going on around Trice. Together we make the perfect blend of parents, community members, and educators working together to help all of our students succeed.
