Announcements & Updates

- Congratulations to the candidates who ran in the 2020-2021 Student Council e-board election. The winners are: Daniel Cosmi, President; Charlie Jurist Baus, Vice President; Sammy Varela, Secretary; Zoya Ayub, PR Chair. Special thanks to Ms. Huang and Mrs. Heuer for organizing Mountain View's first virtual pep rally.


- A reminder to parents to please review the email communications from Mrs. Toth (8th gr, May 29; 5th-7th , June 1) and from your child's team leader (June 3) for important information regarding end-of-year procedures. Should you have any questions, please contact the school. Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.


- All current 5th, 6th, and 7th graders will be invited to join a "summer" Classroom from the rising grade level team (e.g.: 5th joins 6th), which will contain required summer reading assignments along with suggested skill-sharpening work in Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.


- By now, all current 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students should have completed the Related Arts course request process via the Parent Portal. A follow-up email was sent to those who have not submitted their requests, and holds will be placed on 4th marking period report cards.


- On June 11, the last day of school, all 5th, 6th, and 7th graders will participate in a virtual field day organized by the Related Arts team. Attached below is a list of suggested equipment. Note that these items are not required for participation (please do not purchase anything!).


- Reminders from Mrs. Austenberg:

  • Please reach out to your child’s pediatrician to schedule physicals for sports paperwork for the fall season as we await further guidance regarding scholastic sports for next school year.

  • Please reach out to your pediatrician to schedule required immunizations for the upcoming school year. Documentation may be sent via email at this time. Please reach out to Mrs. Austenberg for any questions.
