We hope that you have had a great weekend with your Marshals! This week will be College Week for our Marshals. We are looking forward to a great week. If you are dropping your Marshal off between 7:15am-7:30am in the carpool line, please remember to follow the safety protocols we have in place. Do not get our of your car in the carpool lane. If you need to walk your student into the building, please wait until 7:30am to do so with parking in the walk up parking lot and crossing at teh front crosswalk and following our safety procedures. Staff members arrive at the side doors to assist students in the building at 7:15, but are not on carpool duty until 7:30am. Prior to this parents will need to make sure that they are following safety procedures. Campuses DO NOT have to open doors until 7:30am through MISD. If we can not successfully maintain a safe 7:15-7:30am drop off procedure, then we will no longer be able to have Marshal's arrive at the carpool doors during this time period.

International Walk to School Day - Wednesday October 4th

Parents and students are encouraged to walk to school on Wednesday October 4th for International Walk to School Day. For those that are unable to participate in this, we encourage you to walk as a family anytime on Wednesday. McClure will continue to promote Walk to School Wednesday all year to encourage healthy habits for our Marshal families. Let’s Get Moving Marshals!

Hey McClure Marshal Families!

Join us at McKinney North High School on Saturday Oct. 21st for the Running of the Bulldogs race! This is a fun family event with bounce houses, face painting, games, food trucks and more! The 1 Mile run will begin at 8:30 and the 5K will begin at 9:00. The race will be held at the stadium area at McKinney North High School and will benefit the Cross Country and Track Teams. Please list McClure as your school, as part of your registration will come back to McClure’s PE Department to help purchase PE equipment.

We hope to see all of our Marshals there!

Breakfast will be served from 7:30am-7:50am at McClure daily. If your student arrives later than these hours, they will go straight to class and begin their day. Please get your Marshal to school during breakfast hours if they are wanting to eat breakfast at school.

It is imperative that we all follow our arrival and dismissal procedures in order to keep all of our Marshals safe. Your student may be dropped off through carpool lane or parent walk up in the morning. If you are walking your student up to the front entrance, you will need to park in the South parking, cross the crosswalk, and then follow the sidewalk up to the front doors. Please DO NOT use the handicapped parking spots if you do not have proper permitting. Please follow the traffic flows on the maps below in order to allow our traffic to flow smoothly.

If you are picking your student up in carpool or parent walk-up, please make sure you have your McClure student pick up number with you for the 23-24 school year. For safety reasons the color of the tag changes yearly. Staff members will only release your student with the current year's tag.

Please use the correct location for your student's dismissal.

Please DO NOT park in the bus lane at any time during the day. This includes arrival and dismissal. The fire lane is for Daycare, School Buses and emergency vehicles only!

A valid state or government issued photo ID must be presented each time you visit, volunteer, or pick up a student. Please be prepared with your ID upon arrival. We are not allowed to accept a photo of your government issued photo ID.

Interested in volunteering in McKinney ISD for the 2023-2024 school year? Volunteer applications are being accepted for the upcoming school year. McKinney ISD requires all volunteers complete the required volunteer process each school year.

All volunteers with McKinney ISD agree to a background check each school year prior to beginning volunteer duties. McKinney ISD is dedicated to making sure that all students have the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and secure environment.

The volunteer application process is just one effort used by the school administration to help make our schools safe.

VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS MAY TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS TO BE PROCESSED.

To apply, click the link below and select the School or schools of your choice. An email account is required for notification purposes. Once your volunteer application is processed and the criminal background check is complete, you will receive an e-mail notification regarding your application from the MISD Human Resources department.

McClure PTO is a group of parents (moms and dads) working in partnership with school staff to help keep families informed and involved.

Studies have shown students do better in school when parents are engaged at school.
