Buffalo Express

Last Monday evening was our annual presentation to the Shawnee Heights Board of Education and we shared goals and updates we've made to provide additional practice and enrichment in Language Arts for all Buffalos from Kindergarten through 6th grade. Our Reading interventionists Mrs. Brantingham and Mrs. Dishman demonstrated components of the Wilson Reading System and Mrs. Holthaus modeled the resources we use to develop phonemic awareness for all students in grade Pre-K through 2nd grade on a daily basis.

This week we will kick off Read Across America Week and our students are pumped. If you've already sent cash for students to enjoy Kona Ice tomorrow (2/28) we appreciate it and we will still collect cash in the morning. ALL Buffalos in Grades Pre-K through 6th grade will enjoy Kona Ice as a result of amazing donations from families and our supportive PTO. The truck will be here from 1-3 pm.

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
