Docendo discimus!

We use interactive learning at our English and German lessons to form and improve skills of effective reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn (Benjamin Franklin)

We encourage pupils' participation. We use questions that stimulate response, discussion and a hands-on experience. We use teaching aids that press for answers, and capture and hold the pupil’s attention. We set up a work group environment; involve ourselves as well as the pupils.

A good teacher should

´be relaxed and easy-going;

´be professional and creative;

´have a knowledge of the subject up-to-date;

´have a passion for the subject;

´allow pupils to develop understanding in different ways/speeds;

´demonstrate empathy;

´set appropriate targets/goals and clear tasks;

´give positive feedback.

Teachers should guide without dictating, and participate without dominating (Carol Neblett)

If you create comfortable conditions during the lesson when your pupils and you are real participants of the process of studying, altogether you will feel the intellectual ability and this is the main teacher’s task.
