Mill Valley Weekly
Thursday, January 9th, 2020
Hello Mill Valley Families.
As we continue to strengthen and focus on respect at Mill Valley, we have created a universal definition that we are teaching all the students. Respect means treating people, places and things with kindness. Each class has discussed things they can do to show respect to themselves (showing kindness to their mind, body and things), others (showing kindness to others), and the environment (the way we treat our space and the things we use each day). Please discuss how respect can be shown at home as well. Here is the video we are using with the students. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmRjyQlWyQg

Save the Date: 4th Grade Teen Center
Dear Parents:
We are trying a new Teen Center event this year. On January 17 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be a special Teen Center for 4th and 5th graders only. The idea is to acquaint/familiarize 4th graders (and parents) with TC, but on a smaller scale. This is a free event and there will be concessions available for purchase. Parents are welcome to come in and watch the excitement. Any parents/adults will need to come in the front doors of Bay Lane Elementary and have their ID (driver's license) scanned. All students--including 4th graders--will enter at the upstairs entrance closest to Hilltop Drive (right of the main entrance). Students must present their student ID card (5th graders) or know their student number (4th graders) to check in.
This event includes a DJ, open gym, interactive video games in the auxiliary gym, ping pong and pool tables in the lower level, raffles and more!
WARRIOR WINTERIZER ~ January 31, 2020
Dinner tickets, provided by the Cotton Exchange, are available online for $10.
