Message From The Principal
Hornet Families,
Starting this past Friday, September 15th through October 15th we recognize and celebrate Hispanic Heritage month. This past Friday, we had students dress in traditional Hispanic clothing to kick off the month of celebration! Bailey Elementary is proud to be a globally diverse and inclusive school that welcomes all cultures and backgrounds!
We have officially kicked off our Candyman Fundraiser! Students should have taken their selling packets home with them this past Friday! Please help support our school and PTO by selling or purchasing from the fundraiser! Every little bit helps!
This upcoming week we have several events taking place. On Tuesday (09/19), we will hold our 1st safety drill of the year to practice how we would respond to an emergency situation. The safety of our students and staff is our #1 priority. We will have law enforcement present on campus through the duration of the safety drill. Also, on Tuesday (09/19), students will take home their first quarter progress reports. Please take the time to review those with your child and reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions. Lastly, Friday (09/22) is an early release day for students and dismissal will begin at 1:00.
Please read through the information in the newsletter below and let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you for your support,
Dr. Allen M. Wilson
Principal
