Spartan Spotlight

BRHS Families,
Our school year is off to a good start. On August 24, we welcomed approximately 1570 students to the 23-24 school year. In addition, earlier in August, we welcomed 21 new staff to our already approximate 200. Finally, in late July, we began welcoming students back to our various clubs and activities. It has been a busy start to the school year.
Thank you to all the families and students who came out to open house on August 22. We hope you were also able to find a club or sport to participate in. We welcome the Class of 2027, our freshmen. We know you will transition to Broad Run Spartans and make the most of your high school years like your predecessors have for the past 54 years.
School pictures are September 5-6. Homecoming is the week of September 19. We give the PSAT on October 10 to grades 9-11.

Testing Info
PSAT Day is October 10th. All students will need their LCPS issued Chromebook to test. Information via email coming mid-September.
Cup of Spartan
A Cup of Spartan will be kicking off once again with their signature coffee drinks, flavored teas, and delicious baked goods on September 6! The coffee shop will be housed in the workroom by the main office--room 143. A Cup of Spartan will be offering delivery as well as punch cards. Purchase nine drinks and the tenth one is FREE!
And introducing CHROMATIC—a new school-based program student business. The students will learn the art of creating and designing t-shirts and stickers by using Cricut technology. CHROMATIC students [entrepreneurs] will be taking specialty orders as well as creating their own designs on t-shirts and computer stickers. There will be a Google form to place your orders - if you have any questions, please see Anita Lewis in room 179 A.
