This week we continued our learning of CORE by focusing on the letter R for respect. When we talk about respect at the preschool level, we talk about showing others you care through your actions, the way you talk to them and using good manners. See the document below for more about our focus on respect and what you can do at home to work on respect. Next week we'll learn about letter E for excellence.

Mr. Keating's class has been working hard on the concept of sharing this week. Learning to share at this age is hard work, but not for this class. There was SHARING MAGIC taking place. These friends have shared books & stories, puzzles, toys and more!

If you know someone searching for a quality preschool program, send them to the Warren Early Childhood Center! We have spaces currently available for half day and full day classes. We also accept On My Way and CCDF vouchers. Registration appointments can be made by calling Mary Crabtree in the ECC office, 317-869-4750.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline to respond to the 2020 Census was extended earlier this year until September 30, 2020. The date your household will reference when completing your census is April 1, 2020. Make sure you count everyone who was residing in your household on this date, including roommates, extended family, friends, and – of course – children!

The census is easy. Completing the census for your household should only take about ten minutes and is simpler than ever to do. Your household should have received a form by mail earlier this year, but if you’ve misplaced it don’t worry! You can still respond by calling (844) 330-2020 or online at my2020census.gov.

Se acerca la fecha límite del censo. Debido a la pandemia de COVID-19, la fecha límite para responder al Censo del 2020 se extendió principios de este año hasta el 30 de septiembre de 2020. La fecha de referencia de su hogar al completar su censo es el 1 de abril de 2020. Asegúrese de contar a todos los que estuvieron viviendo en su hogar el 1 de abril, incluyendo compañeros de habitación, familiares, amigos y, por supuesto, su hijo/as incluyendo bebés.

In order for our schools to be in compliance with the state laws regarding immunizations, please make sure that your student(s) have their updated information on file with your school's nursing staff. All student vaccines must be on file and up to date by September 21, 2020 to avoid exclusion. Please make your school's nursing staff aware of any upcoming appointments for vaccines, or if there are any medical or religious objections to your student receiving his or her vaccines

Also, PLEASE inform your school's nurse of any chronic health conditions that the school should be made aware of, and that your student's medical emergency information is up to date.

Session Times for the 20-21 school year are as follows:

Half Day Morning 8:50 to 11:50 a.m.

Half Day Afternoon 12:55 to 3:55 p.m.

Full Day 9:20 to 3:20 p.m.

Child Care 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

If you arrive after the car line has concluded, you will need to park your car and check your child in with the front office.

AM Half Day- Car line closes at 9:00 a.m.

PM Half Day- Car line closes at 1:00 p.m.

Full Day- All car lines, Orange, Pink & Yellow, close at 9:30 a.m.

Thank you for having your car sign displayed for dismissal. It's makes the car line move much quicker. Don't forget to have your ID ready to present to staff when asked.
