Dear Northeast Families,

The last day of school was bittersweet. There were waves, fist pumps, tears, hugs, and smiles. Good luck to our fifth-grade students headed to middle school.

Students should be proud of their accomplishments this school year! Reflecting on my first year at Northeast, serving the Northeast families and students has been an honor. I feel blessed to serve a community with dedicated staff, supportive families, and empowered students. I grew as a leader and community member and am thrilled to continue our partnership next year.

I hope you have a wonderful summer where you can spend time with family and friends.

Our beloved special education associate, Diane Nelson is retiring this year! Diane has been at Northeast for 26 years! She is most known by the Northeast students for her loving hugs and kind heart! Diane has made such an impact on every student that has been at Northeast. She is going to be greatly missed! We hope Diane has a wonderful retirement and visits us often! Thank you for ALL that you have done for Northeast Elementary, Diane!
