District Communication

There is a slight possibility of a late start tomorrow (Wednesday, January 27) at Blair Oaks. Conditions overnight and early tomorrow may present an opportunity to utilize a 2-hour late start. No decision has been made at this time.

The decision will be made at approximately 5:45 AM on Wednesday. There are three options: normal day, 2-hour late start, or no school. The timing of the end of the precipitation may make a 2-hour late start a viable option. I wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible.

If a 2-hour late start is decided, all school functions will begin exactly 2 hours later than normal. Buses will begin their routes exactly 2 hours later than normal. Bus pick ups will be exactly 2 hours (give or take a few minutes) later than normal. Parents may drop students off at school at 9:30 AM (2 hours later than the normal 7:30 AM). No breakfast will be served. Lunch will be served as normal. School will be dismissed at its normal time.

If school is delayed or cancelled, we will use the normal means of communication to notify parents and students.

With the addition of the new high school, there was some shifting of positions. As of January 15, 2021, the District finalized building principal assignments for the 2021-2022 school year as follows:

K-2: Tara Bishop

3-5: Kimberley Walters

6-8: Melinda Aholt

9-12: Position Open

The District is currently accepting applications for the high school principal. Additional information will be shared once that is finalized.
