The days are getting warmer please remember to pack your student a refillable water bottle.

Mark your calendars!! Fall picture day will be on Friday, October 1st. We are looking for 4 volunteers that can help with picture day from 8:15am - 2:45pm. Volunteers will assist students walking to and from the cafeteria to have their picture taken and the photographers inside to help things run smoothly.

Marquen sus calendarios !! El día de las fotografías de otoño será el viernes 1 de octubre. Estamos buscando 4 voluntarios que puedan ayudar con el día de las fotografías de 8:15 am a 2:45 pm. Los voluntarios ayudarán a los estudiantes que caminan hacia y desde la cafetería para tomarse una foto y los fotógrafos adentro para ayudar a que todo funcione sin problemas.

We will be welcoming volunteers back on campus beginning October 1st. In order to volunteer on campus you will be asked to fill out a form and attach a copy of your vaccine card. In order to volunteer you must be vaccinated. If you have any questions please contact the office at 650.738.6687.

Daremos la bienvenida a los voluntarios en el campus a partir del 1 de octubre. To include your child in the program, please fill out the consent form with your permission to perform a COVID-19 pooled test at Sunset Ridge. This process should take no more than 5 minutes to complete using a computer or a smartphone. Please fill out a separte form for each child.

We are excited to announce that Coastal Cleanup Day is back and happening on Saturday September 18th from 9 to 11. This is a great opportunity to teach your kids about taking care of the earth and enjoy being outside together.

Volunteer for Coastal Cleanup Day

Joining an organized beach cleanup is easy:

1. Find a location near you or that you enjoy going to
   
2. Sign our online waiver to prevent long lines during the check in process
   
3. Gather the supplies that you will need to bring with you (think reusable)
   – 3 or 5 gallon buckets are ideal
   – Reusable gloves, the one for gardening or doing the dishes work well
   – Bring your mask
   – Closed toe-shoes, hat, sunblocks, reusable water bottles are always good to have
4. Come to the meeting location on Saturday, September 18th at 9am.

Note: Our site captains will have a limited number of extra buckets and gloves. They will be distributed on a first come first serve basis so we highly encourage you to bring your own.

The Pacifica Police Department told us that one of the best ways to get a ticket on Inverness Drive is to ignore the 'RIGHT TURN ONLY' sign at our entrance. Please take extra care when leaving the school campus and follow all road signs for everyone's safety.

El Departamento de Policía de Pacifica nos dijo que una de las mejores formas de obtener una multa en Inverness Drive es ignorar el letrero de 'SÓLO GIRO A LA DERECHA' en nuestra entrada. Tenga especial cuidado al salir del campus de la escuela y siga todas las señales de tráfico para la seguridad de todos.

This award is given to students who have shown outstanding participation in their classes. They show up consistently, engage in conversations and activities in a positive way, and complete assignments. Children can only be nominated for this award by their classroom teacher. Winners are given a certificate and a lollipop that is personally delivered to their home. This week’s winners are:

Este premio se otorga a los estudiantes que han demostrado una participación destacada en sus clases. Se presentan de manera constante, participan en conversaciones y actividades de manera positiva y completan las tareas. Los niños solo pueden ser nominados para este premio por su maestro de aula. Los ganadores reciben un certificado y una piruleta que se entrega personalmente en su domicilio.
