Here comes the holidays!
Greetings MWES families,November and December are busy times of the year as we all prepare for the holidays. There will be a lot of happenings at MWES as well this holiday season. Here’s what’s coming up:
- November 20 Parent/Teacher Conferences 4:30-7:00
November 22, 23 and 24 No School - Thanksgiving Holiday
December 2 MWES Winter Fest 11:00am - 2:00pm
December 19 Quarter 2 Ends
December 20 - January 1 No School - Winter Break
January 2 No School - Bullitt Day
January 3 School Resumes
BCPS/Rooms App
Many of you are missing out on vital information shared through the BCPS/Rooms app. Just to clarify, Rooms is part of the BCPS app. You can toggle between your 'feed' and Rooms at the bottom of app screen. You do not need to login to rooms on your browser and then struggle to read the messages. Stop by our table at Winterfest to get a check up on your app!
Calendar Survey 24-25
This district calendar committee is seeking input from school families and staff regarding selection of the 2024-2025 school calendar. Please take a moment to provide your feedback by completing this brief survey. The survey closes December 1st at 3:00pm.
Illness/Attendance Reminders
As the holidays and winter season approaches, so do germs and cold/flu season. Please discuss these everyday preventive actions with your child to help stop the spread of germs:
Stay home if fever of 100.4 or greater, vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours
Wash hands often with soap and water
Cover coughs/sneeze with a tissue
Notes for absences must be sent to school within 5 days of the date that your child returns to school. Remidner you may use a note from a doctor or a parent (lmited to 6) in order to excuse an absence. Please send in a note any time your child misses school, arrives late or leaves early.
