Food For Thought

Faith is one of the most important aspects of life. It's something that we all strive for, yet it can be hard to fully understand and put into practice. The Bible makes it clear that faith without works is dead and has no value. Today’s scripture highlights the importance of putting our faith into action in order to truly experience its power.

Having a strong belief in something isn't enough; we must take steps towards living according to our beliefs in order for them to bring real change in our lives and those around us. We can have all the faith in the world, but if we don’t act on it, then nothing will happen. Faith requires action and practice in order to bring about positive change within ourselves and others around us.

The Bible encourages us over and over again to trust God with every area of our lives – from finances to relationships to health – and invites us to put our faith into action. This brings about real change in our lives, not just for the short-term, but for eternity.

We have a responsibility as believers to move beyond belief and demonstrate our faith through works. It can be easy to get caught up in trying to understand every aspect of faith intellectually; however, if we don't take steps toward living out what we believe, then our faith is not truly alive.

How can you actively engage with your faith in order to experience its power and reap its rewards?

Gratitude

Faith is an incredibly powerful force in our lives, yet so often we take it for granted. We have faith that the sun will rise each morning and that the world will continue on its path of progress, but do we ever stop to appreciate what a blessing it is? Today, pause and reflect on all that you are grateful for in your faith – from the small miracles to the big ones.

Father, Thank You for this blessing of faith. Help me to understand how to put my trust into action so that I may show Your love and mercy to others. Let me be guided by Your wisdom in all I do and say so that the good news of salvation will shine through me to those around me. Amen.
