We were really pleased to have the children back with us in school this week and hope that everyone had a lovely half term holiday. This week has been an another exciting week in school.

This week our pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 have each had a First Aid lesson. This was led by Sam and Matt from First Aid Schools. The children were given the opportunity to learn all about first aid and also learn some essential life saving skills.

This week our Year 5 & 6 children enjoyed a trip to the National Space Centre Museum in Leicester. Children not only enjoyed the Museum they also took place in a Earth, Moon & Sun workshop and watched the planetarium show 'Journey through the Solar System' .

Today is the launch of the Autumn Photography competition. This competition Is open to all children from Reception to Year 6. We ask that children take photographs of anything Autumn related.

The deadline for entering will be Friday 15th December when the Junior Leadership Team will judge the entries and choose the winner who will then receive an art-related prize.

On Monday 13th November we will be celebrating Diwali in school. Dance days will be delivering a whole school Diwali dance workshop and classroom kitchen will be cooking with EYFS.

As a school we will raising money for Children in Need. We are asking children to come into school wearing non-uniform/something spotty on Friday 17th November for donation of £1.00. We will also be completing our “penny pudsey” so if children could please bring in 1 or 2 pence pieces.

Next week is Anti-bullying week we ask that all children and staff wear odd socks on Thursday 16th November.

Year 6 SAT's Boosters will start on Monday 13th November straight after school until 4:10.

With the darker nights If your child usually walks home please let the office know or Miss Howard know via Dojo they still have permission to walk home or if you will be collecting.
