A Virtual Learning Journey
The Slavery and Freedom virtual journey sponsored by GPB Media, explores the complexities of slavery and freedom in historical Savannah through the lens of the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters. Students can learn about the connections between the institution of slavery and the global economy and discover how one city can teach us about society and culture before the Civil War. Key concepts are presented through interactive elements like primary source letters and images, navigable maps, videos, and a virtual walking tour. Check out the Virtual Learning Journey.

Super 3 or Big 6
For your next students' research paper and/or project, let me help. I can introduce your students to either the Super 3 (K-2) or Big 6 (3-8) Research Model.
What is the Big6? The Big6 is a research model that guides students through the information problem-solving process and along the way provides a basic framework for teaching and promoting information literacy. The Big6 provides students with a tried and true method to answer a question, complete an assignment, or create a unique product. Big6 skills link information problem solving and critical thinking.
What is the Super3? The Super3 is the adapted version of Big6 for the primary grades. This takes the six-step process and breaks it down into three easy steps.
