EVALUATE AND MATHEMATICS BENCHMARK TESTNG
Please continue to complete Evaluate and the District Mathematics Benchmark testing. These two assessments are priority at this time. Ensure students are focused and are demonstrating their learning during these assessments. Many grade levels are having students chart their own data, which is a wonderful strategy to engage students in their own progress!
Lucas Crossing Elementary Winter Concert
Our Winter Concert is on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 @ 6:00 p.m. It is expected that all staff are in attendance. We will not have an after- school PLC on this evening. Ms. Winslow, Mr. Clanahan, and students have a wonderful evening planned for our school community!
LCEC UNIT PLANS
All Unit Plans are due to the LC Principal by December 8, 2017. We will review the procedures for completing these plans on this Tuesday's PLC. After receiving feedback from RSIT, we will make minor adjustments to our plans. Please select the standards you will be teaching for the upcoming six weeks. These standards will also be the standards we will identify for our Student Learning Objectives (SLOs) for next semester.
What are Student Learning Objectives?
A Student Learning Objective (SLO) is a measurable, long-term goal of academic growth that represents a portion of a teacher’s impact on student learning. While the term “SLO” may seem new, the concept is actually a very familiar one in Missouri. Essentially, SLOs represent the process of gathering and analyzing student data, using that data to set student growth goals, and then assessing whether students have met those goals at the end of instruction. What is new about SLOs is that they offer a formalized, collaborative process for using student growth data in evaluations, especially for non-tested grades and subjects.
