Cafe Help Needed
Friends - We have the most wonderful cafe staff in the entire district, and we are looking for someone to join our staff! If you could please put this in your newsletters and reach out to any parent/grandparent that you think may be interested in joining our team, I would appreciate it! The position is available beginning immediately, however we desperately need someone by 10/30. Let me know if you have anyone who is interested!
Remediation IA
I am excited to announce that Alison Durm will be continuing her journey at HPE as our new remediation IA. She will be supporting small groups of students in 2nd and 3rd grade beginning Monday, Oct. 30th. Please welcome Alison into this new role.

SIP Goals
Goal #1: Academic Achievement in Reading/Language Arts – Closing the Achievement Gap
- The Language Arts ILEARN proficiency rate between the highest performing student group and the lowest performing student groups will be reduced in three academic years
Sample Indicators to Measure Growth -
- Examine instructional teaching practices and skills and strategies of foundational reading skills
- Focused PLC work in the areas of reading, writing, and phonics to create targeted lessons or interventions in response to data collection
- Continuation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) process, including CST (Child Study Team)
- Develop and Engage in Community Partnerships with Families
- Intentional Focus on Attendance
- Continued Support of Core Instruction in the areas of Conventions, Phonics, Phonemic Awareness, and Word Study
Goal #2: Individual Academic Achievement
- 100% of students should demonstrate academic growth based on their individual projected growth goals.

- Improve the Intentional Planning and Implementation of Small Group Instruction
- Refine Co-teaching Practices - Collaborative cohort s, “Lab” Classrooms, and Peer Observations
- Analyze Strengths and Needs of Core Reading and Math Instructional Practices
