AVA Family Update
October 27, 2023
Good morning AVA Students and Families,
As per usual, I have next week's schedule our usual guidance and community updates below. I've included important information for Seniors and the Homecoming Dance permission slip one last time this week.
Trimester 1 Progress Reports were published Wednesday to Aspen. If you are having trouble accessing it, or have questions, please contact me and we will work through it.
Thank you for your time.

Seniors - Last Notice
There are many things to do prior to your graduation, even if you don't plan to be participating in person. As with all things AVA, you are entitled to participate in any and all in person AHS and community events.
A very detailed letter is attached below. Your first task (making sure we have your name on your diploma correctly) is due on November 1.

Guidance Updates
Student Jobs
The AHS Career Specialist, Ms. Hoff, has added more recent opportunities! Click HERE to visit the School to Career student job board. Feel free to email Ms. Hoff (lhoff@attleboroschools.com) with questions and to get support in resume-writing and anything career-related.
Juniors and Seniors - FSA ID and Financial Aid
Representatives from Roger Williams University came last month to our campus to host a Financial Aid Night. Now, they are also interested in coming back to host an FSA ID help session! FSA ID is necessary is complete the FAFSA (free application for federal student aid), so AVA students and families are strongly encouraged to participate! If you are interested, please help us complete this quick Googleform so our Guidance team can determine if there is enough interest to make this event happen. (In the survey, you can choose "AHS" even if you are AVA).
Juniors and Seniors - SATs
Nov 2nd is the deadline for non-late registration for the Dec. 2nd SAT test day, which is also the final administration of the paper-based SAT test. Starting this coming spring, the SATs will become all-digital. Click HERE to register. Email Ms Nellie to inquire about a fee waiver if interested. Free online study links below:
