FBLA Has a Successful Year
The FBLA chapter and its members have worked hard to accomplish many achievements this year. The chapter offered multiple opportunities for the members to give back to the community through service projects, partnered with local businesses to learn about different business opportunities and occupations, and strengthened individual confidence in leadership and knowledge.
The chapter had 40 members sign up to compete this year and 27 members advanced from the Regional to State level of competition. At the state competition, the members competed in individual events and chapter events. The members did a nice job competing and had 11 members advance to the National competition. Listed below are the projects and students who are competing in Chicago this June.
2nd Place Community Service Project:
Hailey Rykal, Emma Koehler, and Ann Marie Nyhus
2nd Place Political Science:
Zackary Dulian
4th Place American Enterprise Project:
Landon Prokopinski, Zackary Dulian, and Conrad Ledebuhr
4th Place Business Partnership Project:
Hope Bowe and Faith Wren
4th Place Business Plan:
William Berg, Kamryn Glamann, and Grace Ritzinger
Landon Prokopinski and Morgan Kruger placed 5th in Mobile Application Development and are an alternate team for the National Conference. Hailey Rykal placed 7th in Political Science and was recognized for her achievement at the conference. Overall, the chapter placed 5th in the state for community service projects this year.
The chapter this year also participated in the Chapter Champion Challenge. This program provides a series of engagement-focused challenges to complete. By completing the activities in each of the four sections, the chapter is awarded points. Our chapter this year earned over 17,000 of the 20,000 points to achieve the gold level recognition. A lot of hard work and dedication was put into achieving this. As the chapter adviser, Marleana LeMay, I am very proud of the officer team and members for working to achieve this goal.
Landscape Makeover
- Creating a new design for three long sections in front of the high school
- Shopping for plants to bring their plans to fruition
- Removing the old shrubs
- Working and prepping the soil for the new shrubs and plants
- Installing the edging
- Planting the shrubs and plants
- Installing a layer of mesh
- Adding the mulch
The turnaround time on this project was nothing short of amazing. They wanted to have the project completed prior to graduation and they did it! They started on Monday, May 23, and completed their project on Thursday, May 26...in the rain!
Granted, the lawn needs a lot of love, but for now, we're pretty happy with the makeover done by these hard-working students. Thank you!

A Message from the Health Office
Hi CFHS Families and Happy Summer Break!
Please review the following points in regards to the health office:
- If you would like as-needed medications for your student please fill out the medication form and bring in the as-needed medication, we do not have a bulk supply for student use. If you would like your student to have as-needed medications this must be provided from home.
- If your student has an emergency medication please ensure that the medication form with both a parent/guardian signature and the provider signature is filled out and the medication is brought to the health office. You can bring in the emergency medication during the High School Registration Days in August (22nd-24th), as we will have health staff in the office.
- If your student receives immunizations over the summer, please drop off an updated immunization record at the health office as well.
Have a safe and healthy summer!
Plan Ahead: 2022-2023 Registration
Registration will be held Monday, August 22 through Wednesday, August 24 from 7:30am until 4:00pm.
In-person registration is completely OPTIONAL. Most registration activities can be completed online starting August 1. Students who would like to register in person but will be out of town or have other conflicts preventing them from attending one of the registration days will have an opportunity to complete the registration activities once school starts in September.
Once again, we will not have picture day during the registration event. Picture day will be planned for a school day in September.
New student appointments: High school students who are entering the CFAUSD will have an opportunity in mid-August to meet with a counselor and set up a course schedule. Appointments will be set up Tuesday, August 16 through Thursday, August 18, from 7:30am until 4:00pm. A staff member will be contacting families to set up appointments during the first week of August.
For More Information: An online newsletter will be sent out to families in late July with detailed registration information. Questions regarding registration can also be directed to Danielle Hatfield at hatfiedn@chipfalls.org.
