Kindergarten Registration
Online registration for incoming Kindergarten students is still open! If you have a pre-schooler to register, please log on to your Skyward account and go to "New Student Registration". After completing this first step, please visit the French Creek website and click on the 2019-2020 Registration Calendar. This will be listed under "Quick Links". You will then be able to select a registration appointment that best meets your needs.
2019 Read-A-Thon
Our PTA Read-A-Thon is underway now through Friday, March 15th. Please register your child to help our school raise funds for field trips and playground improvements:
- Go to http://pledgestar.com/frenchcreek
- Enter your name and email address, then click Register
- Follow the instructions on-screen
2019 Yearbooks Are On Sale Now
- Click here to order your 2019 French Creek Yearbook!
- Books will be on sale until Friday, April 12th.
- Extra book quantities will be limited - please be sure to reserve your copy in advance.
- A variety of payment options/methods are available for your convenience.
- Books will be delivered directly to French Creek in June.
- Sixth Graders DO NOT need to order a yearbook – our PTA generously provides one book to each Sixth Grader as a gift.

Spring Conferences
As a friendly reminder, Spring Parent/Teacher conferences will be on Wednesday, March 6th and Thursday, March 7th. The online scheduling assistant in Skyward will stay open until Monday, March 4th at 4:00 PM.
- Students will report to school on 3/6 and 3/7 from 8:30-11:50 AM.
- AM Kindergarten will attend on Wednesday, March 6th. (No PM Class)
- PM Kindergarten will attend the morning of Thursday, March 7th. (No AM Class)
March PTA Meeting
Our next PTA meeting will be on Wednesday, March 6th at 9:30 AM in the commons. We hope to see you there!
2019 Drama Club Performance
Join us for Annie, Jr. on Friday, March 8th at 7:00 PM and Saturday, March 9th at 7:00 PM. Tickets will be sold at the door-cash only: Children $1.00 and Adults $5.00.
Report Cards
Second trimester report cards will be available via Skyward Family Access on Tuesday, March 19th at 3:30 PM.
Go For The Greens Week
French Creek will be celebrating Go For The Greens Week March 18th-22nd. This year's theme will be "The Avocado...Guac On". Our district's chef will visit lunches on Friday, the 22nd to prepare guacamole for students. Please contact Mrs. Weber at dweber@ojrsd.com if you are able to help serve samples from 10:45-1:00 on 3/22.
2019 PSSA Testing Dates
Please mark your calendars. Students will be completing PSSA assessments on the dates listed below. As a reminder, requests for Non-School Sponsored Travel cannot be approved during the PSSA testing window.
Grades 3-6 Language Arts testing will be April 23rd, 24th, and 25th
Grades 3-6 Mathematics testing will be April 29th and 30th
Grade 4 Science testing will be on May 1st and 2nd
PTA Bingo Night
The PTA Bingo Night has been rescheduled for Friday, March 29th from 6:30-8:30 PM! Parents are asked to bring a $5-10 toy per child playing for the prize table. Please RSVP for the new date via PTBoard.
OJR Education Foundation Consignment Sale
The OJR Education Foundation will be hosting their spring consignment sale on Saturday, March 30th from 8:00 am through 12:30 pm at OJR Middle School. Shop, consign, or donate! Visit www.ojref.org for more information or email ojrefsale@gmail.com.
Spring Break
School will now be in season on Wednesday, April 17th due to our third snow day. As of today, schools will be closed April 18th, 19th, and 22nd.
