Curriculum Corner
Last week, we shared a "SAVE THE DATE" for IAR testing the weeks of March 29th and April 5th.
At this time, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) is requiring that all schools conduct these tests in-person. We wanted to share our most up-to-date plans with our parent community and will confirm these plans as we get closer to these dates. While we shared our initial planning with you, we are still awaiting to hear any updates from ISBE that may cause us to move into a different direction or change the plan. Please know this situation remains fluid. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as these dates may change.
Also worth noting - Even though the scheduled tests are specific to Grades 3-8, all K-8 Eagles@school students will be switching to remote learning for this week in order to decrease the number of students within the building during the Eagles@home testing window. This allows the students in grades 3-8 who have been Eagles@Home the opportunity to be in the building with the least amount of other students present.
From the Principals Desk
8th grade families,
We are in the beginning stages of thinking about plans to celebrate the 8th graders, including activities and graduation possibilities. We will get a meeting in the books for a small, mixed committee (staff, parents, students) to meet by mid February. We want this year to be as special as possible as we also follow all the health and safety protocols.
Stay tuned!
