Principal's Message

Dear Parent(s),

The total is now in! We raised $13,090.00 this year in our annual Walk-A-Thon. All the money raised will be used to support student co. & extra curricular activities this year. Thank you so much for your support. Below are the names of the students who were our highest earning/prize winners.

This past Monday, I will meet with our L.E.A.D.r group. One representative per class was nominated from each homeroom. This group will discuss initiatives and advise me on items and topics that will enhance Pine Grove Middle School.

Learning In Action

Forest Industry

This week, most of the grade 6 students were lucky enough to see a presentation by Forrest Battjes from Work Wild Alberta. Mr Battjes had a very engaged audience as they tried to win prizes with his "treevia". Students learned about various jobs in the forest industry as well as they saw examples of various forest products. Some lucky students won toques and cards! We would like to thank Mr Battjes for driving out to visit us.

What is a VTRA?

Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (GYPSD) would like to invite you to a virtual information session on The West Yellowhead Community Violence Threat Risk Assessment (VTRA) Protocol. This will be an opportunity to deepen understanding of VTRA protocol and its use in schools with time for an informal Q&A. It is important to note that we will not be able to speak to or answer questions about specific VTRA cases.
