HEALTH & WELLNESS

Panther Families!

We have had a number of staff and student illnesses over the past few weeks. We strive to maintain health and wellness during this flu season. Please help us by keeping students at home if they are not feeling well and/or have a fever.

Flu Procedure

Please notify Nurse Mary of positive flu cases (confirmed a lab test) that are in your classroom.

What is considered an outbreak?

≥20% absent with a positive flu test in a classroom or cohort in the day
≥2 persons with a positive flu test within 72 hours (3 days) of each other

These classes will be reported to DHEC and the school district.

When can a student return?

According to SC DHEC, "Exclude until at least 24 hours after fever has resolved without using fever-reducing medicines."
If a student has a doctor's note excusing them for additional days, we will follow the physician's guideline of exclusion from school.

Remember to set your clocks back one hour. Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m.Sunday, November 6th.

Holiday Festivities

Chorus Performance

Friday, November 11th- FAE Veterans' Parade & Breakfast. We look forward to having those who served in our Armed Forces join us for our annual parade and breakfast. Our chorus will perform at 8:30 a.m. Come join us!
Friday, December 2nd- Our chorus will perform the National Anthem at EHS Basketball Game at 7:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to wear FAE spirit wear.
Thursday, December 8th- Winter Performance. Chorus will perform at 5:30 p.m. at 5 Point Church before the Third Grade Performance, which begins at 6:00 PM. Everyone is encouraged to stay to support our chorus! Students are encouraged to wear "holiday festive" attire.
Friday, December 16th- Easley Christmas Carol Concert. This event be from 6:00 and 8:00 PM in the Old Market Square/ Amphitheatre. Come support our students!

Help Keep our Children Safe!

Please be advised that we are not accepting home-baked goods to distribute to students. Keep this in mind as we make plans for the holiday season. Therefore, we will only accept goods that are pre-packed, sealed with a nutrition label. Students' safety is always at the forefront!

Come join Mrs. Wilson, Reading Coach

We welcome children from our community to attend with a parent/guardian to enjoy a story, fun activities, and a snack. Every child will take home a new book to add to their home library!
