AESD Family Letter
October 19, 2023
Dear AESD Families,
I trust this message reaches you and your families in good health and spirits.
The following update is provided to keep you informed regarding the Anaheim Elementary School District:
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and October 19 has been designated a National Mammography Day. This is a time for us to come together as a community, not only to raise awareness but also to promote early detection and support for those affected by this devastating disease. Breast Cancer touches the lives of many within our school district, from staff members, to students, and their families. By shedding light on this issue, we not only show our solidarity but also provide an opportunity for education and action.
Red Ribbon Week - Oct. 23-31
Red Ribbon Week will take place next week. This nationwide campaign is all about raising awareness concerning the risks associated with drug and substance abuse. During this week, schools, communities, and individuals come together to champion a healthy, drug-free lifestyle and we encourage families to engage in open and meaningful conversations with your children about the importance of making healthy choices. Your involvement is vital in helping us create a safer, drug-free future for our students. Stay tuned for updates from your students' schools regarding the week's activities.
