We conduct COVID-19 testing every week on Wednesdays. The testing is non-invasive and you will receive the results within 24 hours. Please register by the end of the day on Tuesday and your child can be added to the list. You only need to register once and your child will be tested weekly. Please call me if you have questions.

Last month, I covered lessons on Bullying, How to Report Bullying, David's Law, and Friendship. Our character pillar was Fairness. The Character Pillar for October is Respect. October lessons to be covered will include Making Choice, Personal Health and Safety. As a parent/guardian, you are welcome to view any of my guidance materials. Feel free to make an appointment to view materials. Please contact me if you are in need of resource listings.

3rd - 5th grade students took the Counseling Student Needs Assessment. I am using the data to tailor special lessons, presentations, activities to address the topics with special attention to the top 3 topics deemed very important. Students want information on the following: What It Takes To Get Into College; Abuse and Neglect; and Death and Dying. Thank you to the parents who took time to complete the Parent Needs Assessment. Most of your responses were that topics are very important or somewhat important across the board. All students do have lessons on bullying and cyberbullying. As a school community we address school safety. I will have lessons on asking for help when needed. I will share with teachers the information on study skills/time management, helping students solve their own problems and the other topics with high scores. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns that I may need to address with your child.

The referral window is open for gifted and talented referrals. Please consider referring your child if they are problem-solver, think outside of the box, extremely creative. The referral window is open until October 22, 2021
