3/24 - Author visit with Jasminne Mendez!
Ms. Mendez spoke about her background, how she became a teacher and writer, and where she gets ideas for future stories. Then, she was able to autograph copies of her newest book for the attendees!

4/5 - April Design & Dine: It's Button Time!
Our new button machine arrived just in time for our monthly Craft Day, where students could design their own buttons and press them out to wear on their backpacks or lanyards. It was so popular that we ran out of buttons and had to order more!

Celebrate Arab-American Heritage Month!
The library featured books with primary characters and/or written by authors of Arab-American descent such as Tahereh Mafi, Samira Ahmed, and Aisha Saeed.

National Poetry Month contest
Students could submit original poetry through the month of April and the winners will be announced on May 5. Poems and short stories are published on our library journal, Horseshoes (click on flyer to access site).
