Please help your child plan for the colder days! Our school policy is that all kids will go outside for recess if the temperature feels like 15ยบF or warmer by recess time. Now is the time to find those winter coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and boots!
Each year, St. Cecilia's Veteran Wall of Honor is proudly displayed in the entrance to show our eternal gratitude to the men and women who answered the call to defend liberty and protect freedom by serving in the United States military. We would like to honor any veterans in your family by displaying their picture on our Wall of Honor. Please send either an electronic copy (jsupancheck@stcecilia.net) or a physical copy of any picture of veterans in your family. Please be sure to include the name of the veteran (and student related to them). Pictures with names will be returned at the end of November. We ask that you don't send any original photos, copies only.
Picture retakes are November 10. If a student was absent, they will take their school picture then. If you would like your child to retake their picture (you received your photos and would like to redo them):
* Email the front office and your teacher letting us know you want to retake
* Return the picture package to school

It's impossible to overstate the beauty and the power of a daily Rosary. Pope St. John Paul II tells us, "The Holy Rosary, by age-old tradition, has shown itself particularly effective as a prayer which brings the family together...The family that recites the Rosary together reproduces something of the atmosphere of the household of Nazareth: its members place Jesus at the centre, they share his joys and sorrows, they place their needs and their plans in his hands, they draw from him the hope and the strength to go on."
Now is the time to remember that life is precious from conception until natural death and reflect on what we can do to protect each other, including our most vulnerable. March 25 marks the anniversary of the papal encyclical Evangelium vitae (The Gospel of Life). Written by Pope St. John Paul II in 1995, this document on the value and inviolability of every human life remains an indispensable source of truth for all people. A lengthy document, please see the summaries below for an understanding of the encyclical.
