Travis ECHS Panther Update

This school year is off to a GREAT start! We have adjusted well to our new bell schedule and are excited to begin Scholar Earned Release Fridays soon. As you know this year we have a different instructional calendar that better aligns to the SAC academic calendar and because of this change we also adjusted our bell schedule. It is critical that all scholars arrive to school in time to be in class by 7:50 a.m. Please remember that scholars must meet certain criteria which includes attendance and being on time in order to qualify for the earned release Fridays.

Also new this school year, we have begun to utilize a social emotional development curriculum called 7 Mindsets on Mindset Mondays. Periodically, families will receive a 7 Mindsets Family Newsletter so that families will have tools to help their scholars cultivate growth mindsets. Lastly, please remember your feedback on the SAISD Rightsizing plan is important so consider attending a community meeting or submitting feedback online.

Each year Travis ECHS reviews with scholars and sends home for parent signature a set of guidelines we refer to as our high standards. While these campus guidelines, requirements, and expectations provide useful information for scholars and families, they are not intended to encompass every possible scenario a scholar may encounter while in attendance at Travis or San Antonio College. These published guidelines, when followed, have yielded incredible success and provide the foundation for an exceptional high school experience.
