Elementary Boundary Adjustment

At their February 12 meeting, the Sherwood School District Board of Directors approved the final recommendation from the Boundary Adjustment Committee, which will take effect in the 2020-21 school year. To view the final map for the approved recommendation, please visit the Boundary Adjustment website here. To access our interactive address locator tool, please click here. When using the interactive tool, please select "2020-21 school year boundaries" to identify placement within the newly adopted elementary boundaries.

Kindergarten Registration & Open House

Kindergarten registration packets for the 2020-2021 school year are now available at the elementary schools. Families are also encouraged to attend the Kindergarten Open House at their home school on March 4, 3:30-6:00pm. Please contact your home school if you have any questions. Welcome class of 2033!

Dual Language Immersion

Dual Language Immersion

The Sherwood School District is pleased to announce a Spanish/English Dual Language Immersion Program, starting with Kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year, at Hawks View Elementary (currently Hopkins). A Dual Language Immersion Program has the goal of promoting bilingualism, bi-literacy, and socio-cultural competence. Applications will be available March 4 at the Hopkins Kindergarten Open House along with information about the program. Please visit bit.ly/2020dual for future information and an interest form.

Student Health Screenings

FREE DENTAL SCREENING FOR CHILDREN AGE SEVEN AND YOUNGER

Dear Parent/Guardian: We will have free dental screenings by a local Dentist at our elementary schools for children age seven or younger who have not been to a dentist (please see dates by school below). This is a screening only and no treatment will be given. You may already have turned in a form to your school to say that your child has been to a dentist, or that the screening is against your family’s beliefs -- if so, your child will not be screened. Screening results will be sent to you in backpack mail and also go into the student file.


If you wish to opt-out of the screening, please contact your school office. For more information about the screening call Health Services at 503-825-5485.
