We are pleased to announce our STEM Explorers Summer Camp will be held at Southview Elementary June 22nd-June 26th. Camp will be offered for targeted students going into grades 2-5. Registration is now open on through our Community Ed website. STEM Explorers Camp is a one-week summer camp dedicated to providing enriching and engaging Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities for Gifted Talented (GT) and targeted high ability students currently in grades 1-4. In a fun and collaborative atmosphere, each child studies a specific area of nature through a variety of STEM activities and experiences which are connected to the engineering design process. The week culminates with a showcase for families providing students an authentic audience to share their learning with.

Get ready for an enriching experience exploring the themes of science and nature! Study a specific area of nature and connect it to the engineering design process. Expand your discoveries by participating in an on-site or off-site field trip with industry experts. Learn to code a robot to present your newly learned information in a techie format. Parents are invited to see the culmination of your learning on the afternoon of the last day of camp. Bring a sack lunch, beverage and nut-free snack each day

Please note: STEM Explorers has been re-designed due to funding changes and is now managed by Community Education. If you have participated in this program in the past, please note some differences from previous years. High quality curriculum, experiences and teaching staff remain.

• Please arrange transportation for your child to and from camp each day. Bus transportation is not included.
