Safety Town 2019
The Kiwanis Club of Fenton is inviting incoming Young 5’s, Kindergarteners and First Graders to attend:
SAFETY TOWN---Monday-Thursday, August 5-8th, 2019
Safety Town is the perfect place to help your child learn the difference between safe and unsafe situations. Safety awareness is explored through fun and engaging ways using a child-sized mock Fenton “town” explored on bicycles in the Ellen Street Campus gymnasium. All participants receive a free t-shirt and bike safety helmet.
Safety Topics to be covered with the students:
Riding and Parking a Bicycle
Crossing the Street and Traffic Lights
Riding in the Car and Playing Near Cars
What Do You Do When You Meet a Stranger?
Playing With (and Putting Away) Your Toys
Playing on the Playground
Railroad Safety
Riding a School Bus and Walking Around a School Bus
Crossing Guard and Safety Patrol
Poisons in Your House and Garage
Animal Safety and Care of Animals
What if there is a Fire in Your House?
Swimming Safety and much more!
Each Safety Town session meets for 3 hours:
Session 1 – 9:00 a.m. -12 noon
Session 2 – 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
